Dementia Learning for Residents and Community-Third Tuesday
Dementia education for the community and Garden Spot Village
Held the third Tuesday of each month, in the Theater at Garden Spot Village. This is a free event, and all are welcome.

Fulton Theatre: Hairspray. Change the world, one dance step at a time! You can’t stop the beat in this big and bold musical about one girl’s inspiring dream to dance. The 1950s are out, and change is in the air! Hairspray, winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, is a family-friendly musical, piled bouffant-high with laughter, romance and deliriously tuneful songs. Approximate Typical Runtime: 2hrs 30min with intermission.

Explore one of Lancaster Co’s most unique and iconic locations where you can eat, stay, and play…all in one place. Owners, Kat & Tyler Prickett, will give a personalized tour unique to GSV residents – go behind the scenes to The Barn at Paradise Station (home to Perfect Harmony), The Red Caboose Motel, and Casey Jones’ Restaurant. Learn what it takes to operate this 9-acre property, its history, and have the chance to ask Pricketts questions about the work they do as proprietors. Enjoy lunch aboard Casey Jones’ Restaurant where you’ll eat in a real train car from the 1920s Pennsylvania Railroad. Finish this adventure at the gift shop, petting zoo or buggy rides. Finally, amazing steam engines from Strasburg Railroad go right past the front door. All aboard!

Meet in the Forge
This course meets the third Friday of the month.
The most common comment that we get on the Wisdom Course is that “It’s Changed My Life.”
This course allows you to go through your life’s journey by breaking down your lived experiences and doing that through a lens of storytelling. Nobody wants to get advice, but people love a story.
Join instructor Scott Miller, Chief Marketing Officer, for this learning opportunity.

Auction items will include antiques, collectibles, crafts, furniture, toys, tools, quilts, dolls, sheds, lawn furniture, shrubs, flowers, new/used furniture, games, gift certificates & more! Delicious Lancaster County food (including desserts!) will be available throughout the day.

Paul Schenk will be a step on educational guide. He will discuss the Conestoga Valley settlement of 1760 in the beautiful Conestoga Headwater region, which is the oldest continuing Amish Mennonite settlement in America. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes. We’ll make a pit stop at September Farm before returning to GSV.

In an effort to expedite entry and for your safety, guests are prohibited from bringing non-clear bags, including backpacks and draw-string bags, into the ballpark. Only clutch purses and/or fanny packs (no larger than 5″ x 7″), clear bags (no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″), medical bags, and diaper bags will be permitted into Penn Medicine Park. All bags will be subject to inspection upon entry in accordance with security regulations. Strollers/ wheelchairs allowed.

Travel with us to Havre de Grace, Maryland where the Chesapeake Bay meets the Susquehanna River. We begin with award-winning soup and salad at Coakley’s, a folksy Irish pub located in beautiful downtown. The main course will be served just a few steps away at MacGregor’s Restaurant, a well-known landmark in the city located on the waterfront. Built in 1924, MacGregor’s is housed in a building that was originally a bank. After lunch, you will have free time to stroll around historic downtown and shop in the delightful mix of independent shops.
